Flowers In Winter - #Inktober day 28

Flowers In Winter

There is frost on your petals,
You shouldn’t be here,
It’s too late or too early,
It’s the wrong time of year.

You have pushed up through snow,
You have raised up your head,
And even though it is winter,
You’re not dormant or dead.

You have lived through storms,
Fought the wind and the rain,
And you, precious flower,
Will bloom again and again.
